Is this one of the first hands at the table? If so it's not close. Push

Re: Bad beat or was I too aggressive? Party Poker $0.25/0.10 Pot Limit
[ QUOTE ]
Preflop: You dont have any real hi potential. All you can hope for is to get a really lo flop. So essentailly you playing for lo only. Which is known to be bad. You have to play to scoop. [/ QUOTE ] This is horribly and tragically misguided. [ QUOTE ] On the flop: well, you got your lo flop, but, as it was clear preflop, you still have to draw and your draw will be only for lo. Your villain might already have 2 pair (with A2) or set (with AA) for hi. [/ QUOTE ] Run some twodimes numbers. [ QUOTE ] Your best hope is to get your lo and split the pot. [/ QUOTE ] hah? [ QUOTE ] Why risk your stack to split = to win nothing? No reason. My play (if I were on this flop with your cards) is to fold. [/ QUOTE ] Run some twodimes numbers. |

Re: Bad beat or was I too aggressive? Party Poker $0.25/0.10 Pot Limit O8
Some of you write that I had no high potential. Am I missing something? The flop comes A 2. I have A345. Any 3 4 or 5 gives me a straight. That's 9 outs.
I've been stacked a few times this way. A guy flops a set and goes all in, hoping for the board to pair. Is this a winning pot limit strategy? |
