My personal fav is when he's doing Austrain Gay TV at the fashion show speaking with the designer. He tells the designer how "heavy" the show felt as if it was pulling him down to the ground, and the designer agrees and says that's what he was going for. Less than 3 questions later he comments on how "light" the show felt and how it seemed as if it was floating. The designer agrees and says that's what he was going for. WTF?

PWN3D.

i seriously wanted to stab that guy.

He tried interviewing Andy Runey, but Runey became a [censored] ASAP.

Does anyone know how he gets people to take him serious for so long? I think he gave some hints on Conan, but I can't remember.

My understanding is he spends 30-60 minutes with the interviewees before hand and convinces them he's as dumb as he pretends to be. I'd guess that lulls them into a false sense of security that allows them to be a little more free with their replies.

Ahh... My guess was that someone from the crew tells the person being interviewed that he speaks terrible english or that he's nearly retarded. I've noticed that when Ali G says something completely ridiculous, the person being interviewed rarely looks at the camera.

I think the reason they never look at the camera is that they don't want to seem insensitive to hus handicap.

(That's my theory)

One of my favs was on last night. When Borat goes to the south. He goes to the historical museum and is asking if he can buy a slave-- and then showing the naked pics of his 'wife' at the rodeo.

[/ QUOTE ]

From the same show, IIRC:

Borat consults with an etiquette expert on how to conduct himself at a fancy dinner.

'Can I talk about my family?'
'Yes, that's an acceptable topic for discussion.'

At the dinner:

'My sister is a prostitute.'
'That's terrible. Why does she do that?'
'Because she likes money! She's good, I know! , she's good!'

IMO Ali G> Bruno> Borat.

Borat is funny, but Bruno gets great reactions out of people, and Ali G pwns people when they don't even see it coming.

One of my favs...

Ali G: Wouldnt it be better instead of having like a $5 bill or a $10 bill, having like a $5.44 bill and a $16.89 bill, and like a $22.11 bill. And like a $5.44 bill, oops I done that one already. Or like a $182,250 bill that way you don't have to worry about carrying change.

Economics advisor: If you go to a store carrying a $52.64 bill and what you buy ends up costing you $52.65, Then what do you do?

Ali G: Pay for it with the $52.65 bill. Boom, thank you.

He's brilliant IMHO.
