Re: Mirage 5-26 Dealers Talkin in code?
He might have just given a heads up that you two are a couple, though would he have known?
Tipping $2 a hand and being friendly might just mean you're a really good customer. |

Re: Mirage 5-26 Dealers Talkin in code?
thx guys, I thought it was strange and it just made me a little curious.
Everyone knows we are a couple, trying to hide it would be to much work. |

That was dealer code for "I want to see this guy's wife naked." Take it as a compliment.

No doubt about it the 2 players he was talking about were either good tippers or complete stiffs.

Re: Mirage 5-26 Dealers Talkin in code?
Would it kill you and your wife to play at separate tables? I never understood why couples play together, when it almost always arouses suspicion, warranted or not. If she's learning the game, I get it. But it sounds like she's ready to leave the nest.

Vegas is a vacation you share with the people you came with, they aren't there just to win, there are there to have experience to share with friends. |

[/ QUOTE ] There's absolutely no reason two people who are married or are friends shouldn't play at the same table so long as they aren't cheating. Sometimes there is no other table. Sometimes it's the luck of where you're sent when your name is called. T |

Re: Mirage 5-26 Dealers Talkin in code?
Its not against the rules to play with friends or wives so that would make it up to you to leave if you suspect collusion, stay if they suck or stay if the table is still good in spite of wife/friends being good players. No one has ever even mentioned collusion when we have played together (maybe 20 times).
I agree with Photoc. he was probably saying "watch, they may be playin a game". This would explain why the new dealer appeared shaken that I caught on to the code and wouldnt let on what it meant. He might not have a job if he suggests collusion with no proof. I certainly wouldn't be happy. I'm not upset. Just kinda fun trying to crack their code and knew a few of you dealers would have some insight. |
