Re: best SNG book
[ QUOTE ]
Actually - it's more like 75 out of 100. I would say that a 75% win rate on SNG's are impossible - so I'm hardly expecting to maintain that....Ed's book says that with proper strategy you can probably expect to win a prize on SNG's more than half the time. But his section certainly helped - and getting some good cards hasn't hurt. [/ QUOTE ] The 7 out of 10 which is the same as 70 out of 100 is a cherished moment in the STT forum http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showfl...part=1&vc=1 |

Re: best SNG book
actually, the stuff on playing calling all ins and sklansky chubokov numbers in nlhetp is about as good as it gets in terms of a book imo.

Re: best SNG book
i finally took people's advice and waded in and starting reading many hand posts from the single tournament forum..
and it was very good.... i think partially because SNG plays are just a little more mathematical than deep stack cash game calls where your opponnet read is so vital. and how can you argue about something that is so read-dependent (change the read moderately changes the play) so i would easily recommend it to others to read the SNG thread... it's probably better than any book could be, although i still like books. |
