one of my goals for the near future is to learn to make this dessert.

however the sauce... yeah. if you can keep juvenile thoughts out of mind, it's fine, but if not... not.

Ahhh I can help you here- I'd been asked about this by a colleague after it was served at a dinner party. The below is the GF's reply, though hers contained liberal quantities of the word spunk to try and get me into trouble when I forwarded it on.



"The berries and sauce is a lovely lunch thing. What you do is, five minutes before serving, remove the berries from the freezer (she should try and get mixed frozen berries without strawberries, as they go horribly slimy when frozen, alternatively she could pick out the strawbs or freeze her own). Then melt together 100g white chocolate or white chocolate buttons - but must be good quality - with 100ml double cream (increase quantities as necessary; this would be enough for 3), serve up the berries and pour over the sauce at the table."
