Yeah being slower than her is no big thing, but if you barely lift more than her, then thats pretty sad. [/ QUOTE ] Agreed. Sad on the guy, of course. Women being good at athletics is awesome, and you should be proud. |

Re: My girlfriend can run better than me. Embarassing?
lets see, an atheltic and fit girlfriend.....you definitely shouldnt be embarrased.
You should however be a little worried that she dumps you for someone more on her level. Hopefully you make lots of $$ and arent just some poor college student, so that it isnt an issue. |

After that, I'd just drink cosmos while I watched her do Tae-Bo for an hour. [/ QUOTE ] Is she now your ex-gf b/c you're gay? [ QUOTE ] Don't feel bad... your friend is in fantastic shape so she could probably out-exercise 90% of the OOT posters. If you work-out for a couple of weeks, you'll easily lift more than her. Building up running endurance takes a little more time. [/ QUOTE ] Both you and the OP are not men and should feel compelled to out-perform your significant others in the field of athletics. |

Yeah, that's pretty bad (the jogging thing isn't as bad as the lifting thing, but still no bueno). You should not feel embarassed to work out with her, though - you should be motivated to do that more often.

Don't be embarassed, I'm a bit older than you, but my GF works out 5 days a week, could outrun, maybe outlift me. If it doesn't bother her, it doesn't bother me. As I've told her before, there's only room for one fat person in this relationship
