Re: rich ppl...better looking?
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] I had a more convoluted theory of: rich guy marries trophy wife, produces attractive rich offspring. Offspring finds equivalent spouse, etc etc... Has anyone else ever noticed this? [/ QUOTE ] Isn't this sort of like race horse breeding? If it worked the children of rich people over 10 generations would all be 10 ft. tall and beautiful with IQ's of 300. Instead their children are the same like everybody else's. They'll get better care but that's it. A genius is just as likely to come out of the ghetto. Although, come to think of it, all of the women in Greenwhich, CT do look the same. [/ QUOTE ] I think its the in-breeding that keeps them from being 10ft tall, and 300 iqs. |

Re: rich ppl...better looking?
I'm not sure what it is, but I don't think it's clothes. Like I don't think a person wearing a $72 polo will look better than someone wearing a $20 one. (The exception is probably suits where better fitting ones will probably look nicer.)
Spending more on haircuts and grooming makes sense, it's probably mostly to do with spending more time each morning doing things, which wealthier might have more practice with since they probably have to get dressed up more. |

Re: rich ppl...better looking?
Of course we might be missing the obvious (as is often the case) and it's just that the OP is plain ugly.

[/ QUOTE ] You wouldn't think that because of the price, but better clothing tends to fit better and people who spend more on clothing tend to buy things more tailored to their size. And wearing clothes with the proper fit can make a difference in how attractive someone appears. |

Re: rich ppl...better looking?
My greatest luxury expense is to a very nice gym. It's awash in MILFs. The rare times I've been in there mid-morning the trophy wives have had my head spinning like Linda Blair in "The Exorcist".
Anyway, a disproportionate number of these women are blonde, it appears naturally so. If I was a decent-looking broad looking to up my social standing, I'd spend whatever I had to in order to get my hair that color. That of course in addition to anorexia/bulimia/coke/treadmill to stay thin. |
