He pitched fairly well. I'm guessing/hoping the control problems were just due to jitters, since he has only walked one in his previous three starts at AAA.

i thought Hamels did great in his debut with the control problems (i blame the mound in cincy [img]/images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img])

too bad Madson gave him the shaft on the decision by piping two fastballs that turned into HRs

cant wait to watch more

Debuting vs. a very good lineup in a hitters park is not easy. The Reds lead the NL in drawing walks, so that could be part of the reason for the control problems. Lots of hype, this kid should be very good unless he turns into the next Kerry Wood.
