If we bet 1/2 pot on this river is there any real concern of being bluff-raised?

[/ QUOTE ]

exactly

[/ QUOTE ]
Uh.. if the answer is no, then this is a clear bet.

Hi Jim-

I think the probability of being bluff check-raised on this river is very very low. From what little I had observed of this opponent he was a typical loose passive NL50 player. Why do you think this is a clear bet, everyone here seems to think it is a clear check behind, I thought it was close, but definitely not a razer thin value bet...

He will call any A or T, many Js, and sometimes worse.

Since he's loose passive, we can easily dump to a raise.

The timing on his turn call and river check might sway this to a check behind, though.

I like a check behind. I also think full pot on the turn would be good (not a big deal though).

This is a very interesting point, villain called quite rapidly.

I'm less concerned about being bluffed out of this pot after a bet and more concerned about being pushed out of the pot by a hand that THINKS it is winning, but actually isn't. Villain probably doesn't think you're as strong as you are, and you might often be raised by a 9T/QT/KT hand as well as full houses and flushes.

Definitely.

This is an action board, and it's very, very draw heavy.

Against this player, this happens almost never.

fast call = draw

correct?

so this swings this to a check behind.
