Given preflop action and the flop call, he's got a set here 80%+ of the time.

Bet $66.50 on the turn.

Too bad he didn't lead out on the flop.

I've been playing live more than online recently, but IME most "average" villains don't think you could possibly have flopped a flush. So, I think you get called by a lot of the bigger pairs in his range. Especially the ones with a diamond. Especially if he's the kind of villain that likes to call and looks for an excuse to put you on AK. But .. it seems that a lot of people will peel an overpair on the flop and give up on a blank turn, so maybe you do have some fold-equity on the turn against some of his range.

I dunno .. I mean, I think you have to bet the flop. Are you looking for an excuse to check the turn? If so: you're about 2:1 to get a diamond on either the turn or the river. If you check behind on the turn, you just got to see both cards for $20, which is better than 2:1.

I really like to bet and pretend I have tons of fold-equity, though, so I probably play it like you did .

Well, you're right, I just wanted to be contrarian. Anyhoo I think your FE is pretty low, but your pot equity is quite high, so meh. Pushing the turn vs. checking and taking a river are probably about equal.

I think overpairs no [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] go away. 99 is pissed but 75% chance he stays. Kd9x unlikely due to PF action. Don't feel like suited connectors take this line often. You have the Ad so made flush risk down. Tough for him to put you on anything but an overpair. He may think you have Ad or Kd to go with it.

I check behind, because it seems I'm a wuss and my pattern mapper isn't working. I'm happy to get to the river and evaluate. If I think villian can fold, I can deal with the push... if he can't muck tt-kk, gimme another card. We can still get some value out of the river, and I'm not sure there are many cards that help him, not us, blank is probably good for similar fold equity.

Good luck getting people to laydown TT-JJ on this board.

lol...so true, so true. I thought I repped the rockets pretty decently. I picked a nice flop bet size, so that turn bet would be a PSB for maximum FE. Once he called, I knew he had a biggish pair. He ended up calling with TT with a diamond. I spiked a river ace however to make him sad.
