Re: A Non Pooh-bah Post
"While both can be good, there is really very little fold equity in SSNHLE IMO"
you're mistaking the loose part of LAG for bluffer. Players are bad at this levels so you can play more hands with them profitable (if you're confortable with this), you don't need to be bluffing left and right to be a winner lag at ssnl. PS: I don't really believe in what you said about the A high flop and semi-bluffs, you don't need to push with your semi-bluffs and when we advocate pushes with draws they're +EV against TPTK. |

Re: A Non Pooh-bah Post
I might be mistaking LAG play for bluff but the amount of LAG discussion mostly led me to notice a lot less TAG discussion here. Again, MS and HS I see a lot of "fold villian has the nuts." I think SSNL is a good place to learn to fold.
If a push is plus EV...I'm all for it. My position is that with an A on the flop fold equity is lower. I quite fine C-betting or calling with odds here. If a push or big bet took it down. A c-bet likely will. Often, a push is advocated because of FE. Its not necessarily in the situation I outlined. I seem to remember Ax sooted pushes being advocated but I can't find a thread. Here with 1 over and a FD, I like a fold or call with odds as well. I want at least 2 overs and would prefer a gutshot to go along. I used to be a big fan of being very aggresive with draws. Now I want a few more outs. If I'm pushing someone off a hand, it has to be with a read and extra outs. |

Re: A Non Pooh-bah Post
IMO c-betting the A high flop is key especially against a tighter player who is most likely calling with pp or good A not the A-rag that most doofuses are playing to the felt. Then again I like to c-bet heads up about 99% of the time so maybe I'm just trying to find an excuse
