nice post brain... it's definitely important to be able to think along these lines while at the table. Obviously, you won't be able to analyze it in that kind of depth, but you can figure out basic pot odds and how many outs you have against a range of hands on the fly.
in any case, I think the content is basically correct, although since I have top set I have any 2 pair dominated. I suppose that would simply make it an even easier call. |

Thanks - Well I always do pot odds, and outs - but in HOH he seems to imply that when faced with a big decision like this, the best players do that full line of thinking just described.
I'm pretty good at math, so I'm working pretty hard at trying to get it down to < 1 or 2 minutes to do it in my head. I haven't played in a live tourney before - does anyone know if there is a time limit for your turn at WSOP events? if so about how long is it? |
