Re: Intel Duo processor questions?
If I'm not mistaken, the core duo D820's come with WUXGA resolution: 1920x1600. i.e. the same resolution as the 24" 2405FPW.
So... none while 4-tabling. I'd be worried about the size of the text and the icons. I run 1440x1050 on my 14" laptop now and I love it except for late at night when my eyes are tired. Are the tables and other apps legible (while that dense)? Is a 9-point PA HUD font readable? |

[ QUOTE ] I got my Dell Lattitude D820 with the Duo chip about two weeks ago and it is ridiculously fast compared to my pokey desktop. It makes a really nice poker computer. The only drawback with the Dell's (at least as of two weeks ago) was that they Duo cores didnt come in 17" screens. I'm not sure if they do now or not, but my 15" isnt too bad. [/ QUOTE ] HOw much overlap are you getting with your 15" screen? [/ QUOTE ] Just as ToeHold said, none since I got the WUXGA screen with 1920x1200 resolution. It costs a little extra and isnt the standard screen, but its very well worth it IMHO. |
