When I was a preteen I carried my two piece pool cue and used it as a weapon once or twice. In my teens I always had my trusty pocket knife. While I owned my clubs I confiscated several cool weapons, brass knuckles, a blackjack, many big scary knives and one handgun but never used any of them. I purchased my first handgun in the early 80's and have carried one since. I do have a CCW and normally have a semi-automatic in my automobile and a backup revolver strapped to my leg.
Needless to say I have never had to shoot anyone since 1973. Jimbo

I'm licensed to carry a Glock 19 in Texas, and its either on my person, or in my vehicle. Always. Not gonna get into arguments about why - sorry! I also carry a pocket knife or two at all times, but they're not for defense; I'd be more worried about hurting myself than hurting an attacker. yasher

I think more people are just curious as to why you would feel the need to carry/live in a place where you felt the need to carry/do a job where you felt the need to carry. Not dubious. Curious.

I have a baseball bat in my trunk, a blackjack in the glovebox of my seville, and a pick axe/shovel on my wrangler (more for utilitarian purposes though), leatherman tool if Im on a job, eventually when I get off my lazy ass Ill get a concealed permit.

I have no problem with someone who has a concealed weapon.
