His The Memory Book seems well-regarded at Amazon. But I think I might pick up Higbee's Your Memory.

Not for my poker...

but years ago i bought "The memory Book"

It was worth the time and money.

They have techniques that (with effort) work.

example: to remember someone's name, you attach their most outstanding charachteristic: "Karl with the huge nose"
