The train is much better than option than the bus if you have the money, and the Philly train station is actually quite pleasant.

The train from Philly to AC is only $7. It's the DC to Philly leg that costs. The price here can be variable, but I would expect $30-40 each way. So a total of about $75-$100 for roundtrip.

Maybe 5 years ago. Nowadays, this will cost anywhere from 60-80 bucks each way depending on what time you leave. The only exceptions are if you leave at a very bizarre hour (say 4:30 am) where it might be 40 bucks.

You can get a $40 fare pretty consistently if you book several days in advance and don't need to travel during rush hour. You can also get a discount if you have AAA.
