good post bbushu.
Are we ever checking the flop to villain when we don't have a big hand? |

The only two options here is to either 3-bet shove preflop or 3-bet less as mentioned above. Standard pot sized 3-bet here sucks because we are committing ourselves so we might as well shove preflop given villian and stack sizes. If I feel I can destroy my opponent post flop then a smaller 3-bet might be the best choice. If I feel I have a small edge, even, or outmatched by opponent then I shove preflop.

i don't think we should plan to check that often otherwise i'd rather three-bet to a smaller amount to begin with. if villain is raising a lot three-betting with the intention of shoving might have the best expectation (we could calculate it exactly if we knew villain's range and some other stuff).

I think its too deep for a shove, even vs an aggressive villain. I think you'll only get called by better hands and coin flips, which is a poor range to be against. I don't think it'll be +EV, even given the amount the he folds.
I like calling and 3-betting less better. Probably lean towards calling.. |

If he's opening a ton of hands preflop to 150 you can shove profitably. It doesn't matter if you are behind when you're called, the point is he is going to be folding so many more times you shove.
If he's calling with 20%, which is a tough range to go up against, you're still almost flipping with his calling range. When you say very aggressive prelflop, I'm assuming he's opening around 60% of hands, which is reasonable for most aggros I play in this level. This means he's folding 2/3 of the time, meaning you pick up 600 chips worth of a pot for everytime you have 46% equity in a 2700 chip pot, clearly profitable to shove here. |

Good thing we agree chicago
I also think the decision between shoving and calling are close . So I don't worry about close decisions too much . |

Assuming he's calling with a different hand range than I pointed out above, shoving may be even more profitable.

Looks like the majority says to shove pre-flop .
Good choice . |
