Alright, that's at least somewhat helpful. I agree I treated her harshly after June, but the 2 years prior I was among the most whipped friend zone pansies I have seen.
So anyways, is she trying to get me to ask her to prom? What should I respond? Or could someone actually just be curious to see if someone was going to prom, given the circumstances. It doesn't make sense to me.

Ok serious response.
Do you want to take her to the prom? If yes, you answer "yes I'm going to prom, not sure who to take though. Do you want to go with me?" If no, you answer "yes, I'm going to prom. I'll see you there". This might need some slight adjusting to fit with the very weird first couple messages you sent. But the general idea will be the same.
