[ QUOTE ]
I just had flash backs-

movies I was forced to watch in a church setting-
The Sound of Music- Never Ending story 1&2-

so- my recommendations

Sandlot, Field of Dreams, any Disney movie out nowadays- The Incredibles Charlotte's Web The Chronicles of Narnia
remake of Herbie stuff like that-
Cinderella Man
Master & Commander: The Far Side of the World
Freedomwriters

If you have to pick out a few I would pick a funny movie- action, and a docudrama(something inspirational)

[/ QUOTE ]

9th Graders != 9 year olds.

OK so I understand Commando isn't gonna fly. Even though it's awesome.

What about Rounders? I'm serious here. Sure, a little swearing and violence, but prolly nothing they haven't seen before. If that's too much then they can go.. <insert rant>.

Also, how is Stand By Me rated R? I guess Rounders is definitely off then.. that rating system is <another rant>

I'm getting too old for this. I'll get back to this thread if I think of something useful.

I think Stand by Me was a perfect suggestion.

Any genre is fine.

ooc, does anyone else here think that master and commander totally blew? I couldn't watch the whole movie.

Which is a shame, because I was looking forward to it.
