I like a b/f on river so much more than checking like fees said.

Pretty easy fold.

But I tend to fold pre-flop. I don't like to play hands that have bad reverse implied odds sandwiched in a raised pot. And I also tend to just lead into the pre-flop raiser on the flop as well (but I mix leading into pre-flop raisers a lot).

Pretty sure he has low SC flush draw that he didn't want to get blow off of on the flop. Maybe he has KJo and thought you might bet river, so he didn't want to blow you off on the turn.

Bet the flop. As played you can probably fold the river. FWIW your post title is misleading. Yes it's an overbet but it's essentially a PSB, usually these threads are shoves of like $425 into $170.
