In 6 max, you can raise AJ utg and be a winning player. In full ring, you would be broke. It allows you to play more hands and be more aggressive. The luck factor also plays much more into effect.

It seems that playing more hands would imply playing fewer tables, no?

Also, are we all talking about limit or NL here?

NL, and no, not necessarily. I play as many tables at 6max as i do at FR. Mind you this is at micros, so the strategy isn't necessarily that different.

It would be helpful if people specified limit. I'm never sure what people are talking about when they say micro, since according to the FAQ:

Where should I post my hand?

High Stakes NL - above 5/10 (above NL1000)
Mid Stakes NL - (NL400-NL1000)
Small Stakes NL - (NL100-NL200)
Micro Stakes NL - (NL50 and below)
Full Ring NL - (all SSNL/McNL full ring hands)

I think NL5 plays very different from NL25 but they are both considered micros.
