Bet the turn.

i think betting the turn sucks a big wang.

Why? The worst that happens is you get check-raised with tons of outs. And I almost NEVER see weak live players go for c/r's here when there's a 4-straight on board. They almost always bet out, especially if there's a 3-flush there. However, players DO call with crap aces here, like A9 with 9s. I think it's definitely a +EV bet on the turn. You also might run into JQ.

All this said, I think a check is OK too, depending on the opponent; if this type of player is a frequent check-raiser, I'll check it back and see a free river. As played, a river bet is a must, as any ace or lesser two pair is calling.

what hand that plays this way can call the turn that we beat?

QJ, Ax (people live call there all the time), KJ. You're right it's pretty thin, no doubt, but live players are normally so awful. Maybe this game is different than the ones I play at Foxwoods or AC...but these guys peel the flop with a gutshot and ain't folding their ace on the turn a lot of the time.

Without the flush draw, I don't like a bet.

Hmm. I like that line in NL, but not limit, because getting check-raised here doesn't cause any mistakes; you just call getting proper odds. Don't see the advantages of it here; sure, bet/fold is OK without the flush draw, but I'd rather take the free card and call one bet on the river. With the flush redraw, I think the bet on the turn has more value.

In NL, I check 100% of the time here, to avoid getting blown off the hand.

Live players are going to call with QJ and KJ on the turn. They have two pair! Those are the only hands that make any sense for villain unless he's a total pansy and checking the turn with AT thinking you have some random flush draw.
