I played in a home game, $5-10nl a couple times until I saw the dealer rake something outrageous like $20 from the pot! At casinos you don't have to worry about these things.

Default Omaha moved to Sun-Sat. on poker pros?

Yesterday it was announced that the $5-10 Omaha hi/lo would be played on e-tables next Saturday. It was also announced that this game would be spread on Sunday's instead of Saturdays. Now that I think of it the announcements were a bit ambiguous. Perhaps they are planning on spreading the game w/ regular dealers on Sun and Wed and e-tables on Sat. I guess we'll find out this week

I hear ya.

On Saturday they planned to run an Omaha game on one of the e-tables. They have 2 tables and they put them both outside the entrance to the poker room in front of the steps-well off to the side a little bit.

Actually, I do think they need more 50/200 unfortunately. This afternoon all tables, except 1 were filled with 13 people waiting and 26 on the call in list. There were a number of 50/200 players that I recognized playing 200-500...not something I mind but something that will drive people to Greektown with their new SSNL structure.

Also, I do think it is a good idea to put the 08B game on the e-tables as the game is filled with 70 yr olds who have trouble reading their hands and the dealers are not great at spreading the game either and they hate working that table. I think it will be much better for everyone if it takes but I do think that it might break the game as most of the regulars have a club on the east side they play at on Friday mornings and may just give it up versus playing an etable. One of the floor people told me today that they expect the e tables to be gone pretty soon after the bbj is hit as it is sitting at about 29K and the machines are leased on a mtm basis and they cant get anybody to play them.

The 15/30 rdxrd seems to be going just about every day now, which is beautiful and it is definitely not taking away from 300 min, there is only 2 or 3 regulars who play the mixed game.

Many of the 50-200 players have moved to 2-5. They like not paying rake.

I think O8 is good for the e-tables too, I just hope the older guys like it. The bbj was announced at $3k on the e-tables today unless I misheard something. There are about 3 people that used to play $300 that play 15-30 now and one loose cannon from 2-5 seems to like this game as well.
