I call. Our HU equity is not so great and we're looking to fold the field and get 3-bet more often than not.

Flop(8sb): A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
SB bets, i raise, limpers fold and sb calls.

Okay sb just calls does anybody think we have enough FE to bet a non [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or 2 turn here? The pot is 6bb. With twelve outs does getting check/raised or check/called here completely suck vs checking behind and completely giving away my hand?

I like a call and then a backraise should someone else raise behind you. It seems pretty similar to a hand I posted a while ago where I call-reraised with a pair + flush draw on the flop. Maybe I'll dig it up.

Edit - I had a gutter + FD.

Hi Brad would you take this line with one of the limpers calling or would you need both of them to call in order to do this?

Yes, why do you want to shut out others on your great draw?

To try and win the pot. Possibly fold out a lone heart. I guess my main thinking here with this hand is if you were the small blind how do you play this hand with say 88-QQ or any other hand you may raise out of the sb here that doesn't contain an ace if i raise the flop and bet the turn?

After i raised the flop i thought aw [censored] that was stupid but when i saw what sb had at the end i think i very well could have won the pot UI with a turn bet especially if i had a read that he was a reasonable player capable of folding an under pair, KQ that type of hand.

For me, it's not really about shutting other people out. This board isn't going to induce a lot of callers from the innitial bet anyway. I'm just concerned about the type of equity we have versus the main bettor. If this were a heads up pot, our situation wouldn't be any different.

kind of a stretch with this particular hand, but, if this were HU, this is an easy raise, because we only have to fold 1 player. He will not have an ace a lot, and on better days, he will fold an underpair. When we have others in the pot, our FE is much lower and so we are looking at overall pot equity.

ummm... no... If you raise this hu, you're spewing. Look at the board; do you really think he's finding a fold anywhere here?
