Re: 3000th post!!
True Dat
Nice post GKA, Thank you for you contribution to this forum. [ QUOTE ] The last and most important piece of advice I will give is to post SNG beats (no matter how trivial) in BBV as much as possible. They can't get enough of them!! [/ QUOTE ] LOL |

Re: 3000th post!!
Good post GKA,
You're right about posting embarrassing hands. We have all had hands were we misplayed numerous streets learn from them. |

Re: 3000th post!!
Good post GKA.
One thing I will say about having a 50 BI bankroll is if you go on a 20 buying downswing, (which will happen) Than suddenly you have a 30 BI roll which isn't sufficient. Where if you have a bigger BR obviously you can take the variance a lot better. |

Re: 3000th post!!
I agree with most things you said.. except this.
[ QUOTE ] please don't post a response if you don't know what to do in a hand [/ QUOTE ] When i first got started, i was admittedly bad. I feel my game improved when i read over other people's hands and explained my thought process on them. Even if you post something that is waaay off base, having a respected poster correct your reasoning is plenty helpful. As long as you back up your argument with some substance, you're game should improve rather quickly. When you post a hand, it isnt just for the OP to learn from. It helps everyone who reads the thread, so post the hands you messed up badly. Don't be embarrassed. Oh, and good post. |

Re: 3000th post!!
[ QUOTE ]
okay just wanted to add an example of the "ahead of someone's range, but -EV play." stacks are as follows: BB (Hero): 3000 with A2o SB: 3000 button: 3100 CO: 4400 Blinds are 200/400 with 25 ante. Folds to the SB who pushes. You cannot make a great read here. Even if he is pushing 100 percent this is a fold. These are the situations you must be able to recognize. When you call with A2 here, and he flips over 76, and rivers his 7. It wasn't unlucky. It was a bad call. This is a mistake a lot of beginning players, and even some marginal winning players at the 16s and 27s make, but if you can learn to be patient and master these bubble spots, you will crush the lower stakes games. [/ QUOTE ] Excellent post. its a pity you did not post this advice last night. I did the same with QTo because SB had shoved into me twice and then steamed for the rest of the session because of it. Looking forward to your next 3000 posts. |
