I've always felt that valuechecking on turn is a pretty dumb concept, especially if you can get people to make more expensive bluffs by raising the turn and following through on the river.

In this case the pot is large and multiway so there is very little relative value in a check.

Your point about pokerstove might be true for the bigger games in 5-10 years (or sooner if bots manage to infiltrate in a big way), but for now if you played a game based strictly on pokerstove equity you would be a very big winner.

I think it's a very good concept since it balances the risk to reward ratio.
