Re: Any 2+2er\'s go to UCLA
Must have been difficult to transfer UC to UC. Way to go getting outta that hell hole called Irvine. I went to junior college to avoid going to UCI because I was denied at Ucla as a freshman.

UCI isn't that bad. I've loved it for the two years I've been there. We should get a Irvine 2+2 game goin sometime.

I would love to know why you think this is such a mistake Barrin. [/ QUOTE ] Because going to college and dorming, meeting new people etc etc. is sooo much better than staying at home with your parents and going to a junior college where you have little to no interaction with other people. If you think UCI is a hellhole, it's only cause you treat it like it is. If you apply yourself, and get out , any college will be fun and enjoyable experience. Junior colleges on the other hand have little opportunity for that because they have a commuter school environment. I'm not UCI is totally awesome, but if you learn to do things on your own and not blame the school, college will be fun. |

Re: Any 2+2er\'s go to UCLA
I completely agree with what you are saying, but the potential doors that could be opened for me at UCLA plus the connections I can make there will be more than enough to supplant any social aspects I missed out in college. I also saved over 40k in student loans, and feel my social life has not suffered in the least by going to junior college. Orange Coast College was rated 10th in the nation in hottest campus girls a couple of years ago (just a fun fact, doesnt really prove anything). But nevertheless, I agree with alot you are saying.
