Default Re: Dealer says the Ace Plays (No real content)

[ QUOTE ]
The dealer says the Ace plays -- he has a Queen high straight with an Ace kicker. An argument ensues, with the dealer insisting that Player 1 deserves the pot. This goes around a few times until someone asks for the floor to come over (at which point, the dealer bows to the pressure of the table and says nothing.)

Anyone seen a worse attempted call?

[/ QUOTE ]
This call was so wrong. The other guy had a straight and a pair of 9s. How can Ace kicker beat a pair of 9s?

[/ QUOTE ]

The guy with the pair of 9's had 2 straights, therefore should have been awarded 2/3 of the pot.
