I would raise.
I consider a river bet like that to be a check basically. |

Ansky, I gotta ask, why do you value bet that river? Cause god knows you're better than me at this, and this seems like a river I would check behind all day, every day.

So if you consider it a check basically what would you do if he "check" raises you?

It depends on the player and the game.
I make this bet on FTP alot, mainly by mis-typing the bet. In your case, without knowing the game, or the player, I would probably bet 3000-7000 depending on what you think he will call. He's going to call 3000, because he did on the turn. I think you have to assume you are ahead, unless you have some compelling reason to believe that you are not. |

I think betting 3000-7000 on the river is insanity.

seke, if he had a big hand like a flopped two pair or set, he would've gotten more money in on the turn. The only hand I could see him having that could've caught up is K7, which is pretty unreasonable. I value raise here every time. If a J or T had hit the turn or the river, yeah, I call/check the river.

I'm not convinced that a player who would actually bet 200 into a pot of 12000 would have gotten more money into the pot on the turn, best.

Whoa there..
Without any read on the player I would be very catious to reraise him here. Sure, most of the time it's probably just going to be a donk with Kx who thinks he's valuebetting, but then again he may be trying to trick you into raising by betting weak. I sure as hell do it all the time in similar settings and it works a charm. (eg. Flop the nuts, lead out smallish, act bewildered for a little while if I get called, and try a smaller bet on the turn; gets reraised 70/30). Basically, with no read on the player, alarm-bells start ringing when I see moves like that. |

Although if I do have a hand, I sure as hell value bet the river more than this. I'm sure villain either misclicked the river, or got FPS... |
