Re: misdeal
It really doesn't matter if you burn again or not. You're not supposed to, but cards are cards. If you do burn again and are of the "but no!" crowd, pretend the burn was on the bottom of the deck.
Chris, this is similar procedure as for when the turn is dealt too soon. In this case, you put the card aside completely, let action on the flop complete, and burn and turn what would have been the river as the new turn. When action is complete on that card, shuffle back in the premature turn and deal off the top for the river. I believe this is all in Robert's Rules of Poker. Do a search for it on Google and learn it well. |

Re: misdeal
River card dealt too soon, wait for action to be completed, then put the river card back into the deck, re shuffle, cut and deal the river card again without burning a card.
From RRoP [ QUOTE ] A dealing error for the fourth boardcard is rectified in a manner to least influence the identity of the boardcards that would have been used without the error. The dealer burns and deals what would have been the fifth card in the fourth card’s place. After this round of betting, the dealer reshuffles the deck, including the card that was taken out of play, but not including the burncards or discards. The dealer then cuts the deck and deals the final card without burning a card. If the fifth card is turned up prematurely, the deck is reshuffled and dealt in the same manner. [See “Section 16 – Explanations,” discussion #4, for more information on this rule.] [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: misdeal
[ QUOTE ]
Aye.. But before #3 I've also seen another burn card dealt. The reason being (especially in home games) the is reason for the burn cards existence in the first place - so you can't see the back of the community card to be dealt while action is being taken. [/ QUOTE ]Inbstead of improperly burning a card, wait for actioon to be completed before fixing the deck. Then put the river card back in the deck, shuffle, cut, and deal the new river card without burning. This eliminates anyone from seeing the top of the card. |
