Re: OESFD .. always b3bai?
[ QUOTE ]
I just call. Minus reads, if you look at your equity with the types of hands people generally check min-raise with, you're flipping a coin. They would do this with a set, a made straight, or the nut-flush draw. I'm not sure I would classify suited three-gappers as a speculative hand. [/ QUOTE ] If you decide to just call here, then what are you going to do when a 1) blank comes OR 2) board pairs & opponents pushes the turn? You'll be getting 2:1 at that point. |

Re: OESFD .. always b3bai?
So, first, about this hand: I'm often pretty liberal with my blind steals. No way am I raising 95s 100% of the time, but I raised it here and felt good about it. I thought UTGs limp was weak, and I thought that, given the texture of the game, etc., I had enough FE (either pre-flop or with a continuation bet) to raise it. Then, on the flop, I thought this one was pretty clearly check-behind or b3bai, and I liked b3bai way better.
I'm more curious about other situations, though, like I said in my OP. What are some nice example situations where you think there's a much stronger case to be made for a different line with an OESFD? |

Push. And I like the raise PF, just make it a touch bigger.

Re: OESFD .. always b3bai?
raising 95s is fine... at 6max raising all kinds of hands from late position is basically negligible if your solid post flop.
btw there is no fold available once this his post flop. |

Calling is only horrible if you KNOW he will price you out on the turn.

[ QUOTE ] Your hand is not an OESFD. [/ QUOTE ] what a nit --- OESD+FD. happy? [/ QUOTE ] I'm hoping that, with the simple clarification I posted above (and your repetition of it here), all will become clear and he can post the enlightening advice that he was so obviously about to share before he got hung up on semantics. [ QUOTE ] yeah, i pretty much always push these. its fun and rarely too bad of a move. ness [/ QUOTE ] Even bigger ones where you think your overcards might be outs, or you think you might make a higher flush than villain? |
