I remembered reading about this NV driver + Crypto causing intermittent blue screens somewhere on these boards a while ago, this was the solution IIRC:
1. Go to Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot. 2. Move the "Hardware Acceleration" Slider all the way to the left (none). 3. Play Crypto site and hope it doesn't crash - If all seems stable, bump the slider up one step at a time then re-test to find the mimimum stable level of acceleration, unless you are happy running with none. I hope this works for you, dave. [/ QUOTE ] I have done all of this and also gone in and disabled Nvidia drivers from the control panel. Everything worked good yesterday but it just locked up again. At the time I was playing at a Crypto skin, playing at PokerStars and had just started typing an IM on MSN. Any other suggestions will be appreciated. I am scared to play tournaments anymore. Getting timed out in a ring game isn't terrible but losing several hands in a tournament can be devastating. |
