Default Re: Blue Screen

I remembered reading about this NV driver + Crypto causing intermittent blue screens somewhere on these boards a while ago, this was the solution IIRC:

1. Go to Control Panel -> Display -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot.

2. Move the "Hardware Acceleration" Slider all the way to the left (none).

3. Play Crypto site and hope it doesn't crash - If all seems stable, bump the slider up one step at a time then re-test to find the mimimum stable level of acceleration, unless you are happy running with none.

I hope this works for you,

dave.

I have done all of this and also gone in and disabled Nvidia drivers from the control panel.

Everything worked good yesterday but it just locked up again. At the time I was playing at a Crypto skin, playing at PokerStars and had just started typing an IM on MSN.

Any other suggestions will be appreciated. I am scared to play tournaments anymore. Getting timed out in a ring game isn't terrible but losing several hands in a tournament can be devastating.
