Findingneema - it is even more egregious... because it really is mainly downtown LA, excluding (within metropolitan LA alone) the great hotel bars on the Westside, WeHo, Hollywood, K-Town, Santa Monica, Los Feliz, Silverlake etc etc... it's a bit retarded.

Though I think having a single SF bar is fine (although I don't agree with their choice).

In Maryland, however, Brewer's Art is a good time.

Brag: I lived a block away from Brewer's Art for 2 years.

For missouri, they actually got it somewhat right, McGurks is a decent place. Having anything but Fast Eddie's bonair for Illinois though is a sin.

I've been to the MA selection B-Side Lounge. The drink selection was good and the food was too, but there is no way it is the best bar around here. Boston has like 1000 bars and pubs, and there's plenty better than B-Side.

Angel's Share is pretty great and not well known, so it'll be a shame if this article makes it more crowded.

I've never even heard of the New Orleans bar. Might have to go look at it.

I make at least one trip to Lou's pub in Birmingham everytime I go home. It's one of two places in Birmingham that I actually miss. The description is right on the money. Actually they leave out the fact that Lou, who yells at everyone is a 400 pound gay man.

For Nashville (and all of Tennessee) they pick Tootsie's? [censored] Tootsie's? It is a honky-tonk piece of crap. I declare this list retarded.
