Re: Let\'s hear it for spite!
[ QUOTE ]
(3) Yankees are 1 game away from being swept. Not only might they be swept, they might do it with Arod going down in flames again, and Clemens might come up empty in the one remaining spot [/ QUOTE ] Clemens doesn't make it past the third. |

Re: Let\'s hear it for spite!
No one could have predicted Clemens having nothing and then coming up with a "strain"

Re: Let\'s hear it for spite!
Boston has to be such a huge favorite now.
But I can still hold out hope they blow a three game lead up 10-1 in the 8th in game 4 to the rockies and never win again for 100 years just so we can hear their bs yuppie fans talk about some "curse" again. |

[/ QUOTE ] not really. Boston isn't a big favorite against either team they could face in the ALCS. |

Re: Let\'s hear it for spite!
Yankees lose and my dream-spite post-season is a reality!!!
Only problem is that I have no remaining spite to help me choose to root for in the remaining series. On one hand, I might root for the Red Sox because I know their victories will bother the Yankee fans in particular. On the other hand, I don't want New Englanders to be too happy either. Meanwhile, I shall bask in the Yankees' sorrow. |

Re: Let\'s hear it for spite!
This is the ultimate spite graphic:
Great thing about being a Cardinals fan: you usually have a team to root for in the playoffs -- the Cards or whoever is playing the Cubs! |

Re: Let\'s hear it for spite!
This sox/indians series is pretty tricky for me. While I have a general loathing for New England area fans, I get a lot of satisfaction out of Cleveland having not won anything since before my parents were born. On top of all that, I don't mind the players on either teams.
Hopefully small pox or something will break out in both stadiums. |
