it was after i watched WPT season 1 on challenge when i was 15, i was like that looks fun lets go play! cant remember if it was after the first episode I watched or maybe 3, think probably just the 1 and i went and deposited £10 online an proceeded to make it up to £40, obv beginners luck riggaments to get me want to deposit more, and then went on to lose it all. i really wasnt that bad seeing that i had never played before and only seen it on tv, but i had always loved card games so i knew a bit about it

Late Night Poker on channel 4 here in the uk.
That and looking up Mad Marty Wilson and seeing he had winning of over a million. At 17 and with no direction in life that impressed me.

how, exactly, does one become a professional shortstacker? i'm interested.
were you born with it or is it contagious like leprosy? did it happen by chance or was it caused by human error, a poker Chernobyl victim if you will?

I saw the first season of the WPT which I believe was in 6th grade for me. I have played it ever since. I used to tape all the shows and watch them over and over. The part that I used to like was when Tony G says "It's a flush" as he sucks out on the river. Now when I think about that it puts me on tilt and I realize Tony G is a fish.

Friend took me to a Saturday Night poker league 20 man donkament. I just knew the hand rankings.
I lost $45 but was hooked. Bought HOH 1 & 2, won the league 4 months later. Switched to internet after that and now rarely play live. Started with SNGs then switched to cash this year.
