Re: NLTRN - Halp! How to handle spewtards?
Betting a weird amount is bad though. I see people bet weird amounts for the first time in a game all the time and it's almost always the nuts.

Re: NLTRN - Halp! How to handle spewtards?
chicagory, I agree that betting a weird amount is often very strong (though definitely not always the nuts) BUT spewdonks tend to interpret it the other way. You know how in Caro's book of tells he suggests people are looking to call, and to induce a call do something odd that makes them suspicious, as this will usually result in them making the call? I feel funny bet sizing is the same against spewdonks who are looking for spots to be aggro.

Re: NLTRN - Halp! How to handle spewtards?
Ok, example:
This guy hadn't folded his bb all game, and just folded once to my cbet. wtf do I do with this hand? Full Tilt Poker No Limit Holdem Tournament Blinds: t25/t50 2 players Converter Stack sizes: Hero: t1480 BB: t1520 Pre-flop: (2 players) Hero is SB with 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Hero raises to t125, BB calls t75 (pot was t150). Flop: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (t250, 2 players) BB checks, Hero bets t195, BB calls t195 (pot was t445). Turn: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (t640, 2 players) BB bets t50, Hero calls t50 (pot was t690). River: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (t740, 2 players) BB is all-in t1150, Hero folds. Uncalled bets: t1150 returned to BB. Results: Final pot: t740 |

Is this the first time he shoved you?
I am interested about what happened earlier. |

Re: NLTRN - Halp! How to handle spewtards?
No. He had made a bunch of minbets, some PSBs, and a couple of 2x pot bets, but no shoves. He had shown down both air and good hands when minbetting, but I hadn't called down anything else.

Re: NLTRN - Halp! How to handle spewtards?
This line looks strong to me too. I don't think it is a bluff.
