This is the way I would play that hand 6-handed. It seems ok at full ring, too, maybe more marginal.
I like your bet-sizing, by the way. On the flop you let a drawing hand call you and make it difficult with a made hand not to raise because of the flush draw. On the turn, ok also. If MP2's stack was bigger, I would have prefered a 200 bet on turn, in order to be able to launch a big river bluff, but with only 400 left you are more or less forced to bet max. Good one, anyway. I hope you won |

Well I'll quickly give my thought process
PF: I'll limp in here some of the time but I'd been playing pretty aggro and a lot of people were just folding pf and letting me steal the blinds so I figured I'd open. Flop: I raise pf the reason why I bet the flop small was because I figured if got a few callers I could dog the hand because obviously against more than one opponent my hand isn't good. I'm not sure about my process there but I'll let people comment. Turn: Now I'm HU most villains raise the flop with a set 4 ways, although a set definetely is still in his range, even then I have 10 outs on the river. But a lot of the time here is hand is the NFD or some weird two pair and by potting I have pretty good fe and if called I'm not in bad shape. |

Eagles, I know my previous reply was terse and I do like the hands you post and your thoughts, but...
The point of my post is: from a Fund Theorem of Poker point of view, you want your opps to make mistakes. Here, they are not making a mistake to call you with most hands they could hold. The nut flush draw is getting about right odds if you include his overcard... So you are basically praying for a fold (which would be a mistake for a lot of hands he could hold), but how often will you really get it? Do you really think it makes up for the times he is slow playing a set or makes top two? I don't know the answers, that is why I'm asking you, but the whole line seems suspect. |

In my experience you DO get a fold around on the flop often with this sort of play, so while I see what you're saying, I'm not sure I agree.

Say he had the nut flush draw and a pair on the board...
He would have 3 overs, 7 flush outs (which are killer), and like 9 outs to two pair, so easily enough to call. With just NFD, he has ten outs, so his call given implied odds on flush draw (stacking you) is just fine. |
