I've been thinking a lot lately of check-raising vs. cbetting. What are the thoughts on this in general and wrt this hand? In this hand, if the villain doesn't bet, we get a free card for our gutshot to boot.
I myself have a hard time disciplining myself to just check here, but I think in many ways ck-raising comes off more powerful than a cbet.

Betting is a no brainer because, we have an OP, villain is loose, will call with worse, and we need to protect our hand. Really no reason to do anything else but c-bet this flop.

this looks like a pretty clear bet fold to me. check call seems about the worst option. he just doenst valuebet much that we beat and isnt gonna b bluffin nearly enough to make a call profitable. he will call with many worse hands tho. bet folding hands like this is by far the best option against loose passive fish
