is this the first time youve seen him check after 3-betting? id usually bet here and prob shove over a c/r. usually when someone like this c/r me after 3-betting preflop i shove my set and they fold getting great odds.

this board is so draw heavy that i can imagine any overpair snap calling this so fast and furiously

Mat,
when you say value bet, you assume stuff like 66 is calling?

if we're getting into a 200 bb flip where we have prob 45.9% equity, our decision is putting in around 86 bb to win 92 bb. at worst, assuming villain has TT or JJ, our EV drops to around 23.9% and 29.8% respectively. probably not too many 3-bet hands in his range that we can extract too much value out of by betting and having him call, so why invite aggression when we can check one off?

bet this flop all day. Someone give me a reason not to. A flop bet would be very EV+ against his range.

while we have ~63% equity vs his range, I'm not sure if betting is optimal on the flop.

anyway moving on..

if you bet the flop, do you shove over a cr?

if you check through and he leads for 50 on a blank turn, call or raise?

I'm not sure if we should shove over a check/raise, if we do bet. If we have even a little bit of fold equity with that raise it becomes an easy shove (but thats really unlikely?), but our equity is pretty bad vs his c/r/call range. Will he C/R all flush draws? Then our equity becomes better again.

Why is it very EV+? Because of FE?
