Ken Warren learned to play hold’em in Las Vegas and has supported himself almost exclusively through his poker earnings since then. He is an excellent poker tournament player and multiple winner, so good in fact, that the Frontier and Marina poker rooms in Las Vegas asked him not to play in their tournaments in order to give the other players a chance. He is the author of the very successful, Winner’s Guide to Texas Hold’em Poker. A fascinating tidbit of Warren's professional poker career adds to his colorful poker past and professional resume. When the President Casino opened in Biloxi, Mississippi in August, 1992, Warren played in and won the very first hand of legal poker dealt in Mississippi in this century.

Well this certainly helps qualify him to write and teach poker. WTF is a multiple winner? Multiple winner at what...$60 buy in tourneys, cash games, bracelets, who can score the most blow contests?

Really? Can't imagine it. In "KWTTH", he advocates opening the pot in limit holdem with any hand that adds to 21 in any positition, suited or not.

His postflop advice is of the weak tight, fit or fold, variety.

My first poker book was Ken Warren's Winner's Guide to Texas Holdem. It cost me thousands of dollars and a couple of years in weak-tighthood.
