Factions were kinda lame in the fact that you hardly EVER got a 1 on 1. I agree with you though. I wish I could go back, it was so awesome. Some player run shards have been close but not quite as fun.

I used to play it a few years ago too, although I didn't start until T2A release. Shitloads of fun, probably the best mmorpg I've ever played (and I've played 10+). I quit it a couple times, first a little while after trammel release, then came back around powerscrolls or so, played a couple months was kinda fun, but then they released some new [censored] that made the whole game into some diablo2 wannabe, so i quit again.

About 2 years ago or so there was a new freeshard that was exactly like '99-'00 though, called IPY(In Por Ylem), that server totally rocked, I was addicted all over again. I had to quit though because I was playing it seriously 24/7. I heard that server was hacked or something I dunno, it was filled with players and almost exactly like it was a few years ago before trammel, and it lasted about a year I think?

Best game ever. Damn, this post makes me jealous of the old days of playing that game. Did anyone used to actively follow decaying houses to loot/replace the land? I remember when house space (or a house in general) was a pretty decent luxury item in the game...those were the days (of being a computer game nerd).

I used to all the time. I actually found a house and it collapsed within a few hours and I got to place there. I kept it about a year but then I quit playing and it decayed. I lost 2 or 3 vanq katanas

I was around when there was still *plenty* of room to place your house and no house limit or anything...I had a pretty sweet place. I sold my account for $$$ on ebay long ago, makes me want to play again *sigh*

If there is enough people willing we should start on a shard. There are a couple of pretty big ones running.
