The drop to 3/6 is not that bad, but I think this is caused by an irregular abundance or regulars, some who do not realize they are fish in the games they play.

right at this minute there are about 12 3/6 games going (both 6-max and full) which is the same as what 5/10 has running... which is pretty typical these days. However, prior to the UIGEA influx, I seem to recall that there would be times when 3/6 was entirely dead while 2/4 and 5/10 both had games running.

my last post was more about how the number of 3/6 tables often has seemed out of place in comparison to both 2/4 and 5/10 and not solely a comparison between 2/4 and 3/6... I've gotten used to playing 3/6 but I'm completely serious about how it used to make me uncomfortable solely because the numbers were weird

Not normal. Today I played in the early afternoon and there was a normal amount of 3/6nl 6max games going (5-6, standard for early afternoon).

I started playing again later at night (10pm-ish) and there was exactly 1 3/6 game going - v weird. I started another table and it filled up, I think FTP reset the tables or something. It's surprising how few people are willing to sit at an empty 6max table (or even those with less than 5 or 6 players), it takes a long time to get games going.

I noticed a big difference in the difficulty of games between 2/4 and 3/6.

so I have this on my mind, scroll down through the list of threads, and see "3/6, weird preflop action" and the first thing that hits my mind is "damn right it's weird, it's in multiples of six!"
