Travel forum....?

It sort of lends itself well to Ask X about place Y'.

I ran a 'Ask DB about London' therad a while back that worked well, and asked other Londoners to chip in where i couldn't answer, and it was cool.

Be really good to see stuff like 'Ask A about Vegas', 'Ask B about Florida' 'Ask C about Paris' as useful perennial threads. Couple that with an active mod who keeps a well-organised FAQ, and some TRs with pictures, you have a winner.

Citanul modded it first time round, so I suggest he run it.

The sticky for the travel forum should be in size 50 font and just say "USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION. Still no luck? USE IT AGAIN. Still no luck? Fine, post."

There's been a lot of great travel threads out there, and even once the forum gets going i predict tons of overlap. still think it will be a good addition though.

It had a crapload of traffic for not being on the side bar and a ton of people not even knowing about it. It did better than a lot of the other Other Topics forum are doing now.

Like has been stated, Mat has said it is coming when vBulletin comes (which is likely never). Why would it be so hard to make the forum now? It's hardly an incredibly difficult process to push some buttons in the uBB admin panel.

Do you really decide what becomes a forum on the basis of critics?

How about you do a poll on who doesn't want either of these forums:
OOT
Travel

Whichever forum gets more negative votes loses out and you only have one forum moving forward.

Will that help you in your decision?
