FE,

"imo he was making a raise/fold bet, thats why i did'nt pop'n'lock"

Look at risk/reward, though. If he doesn't have much, how much more are you getting anyway? Even if he has something decent, gonna be very hard to stack him if you don't get more money in on the flop. With stacks this deep and a flop like that, you gotta give yourself a better shot at getting his whole stack.

He needs a decent hand to lead into you on the flop, raise, there's even a decent chance you're going to get three bet. Raising the flop looks weaker than raising the turn.

[/ QUOTE ]i agree 100% w/ you and El D.. he possibly folds the flop raise but that doesnt really matter b/c you're looking to play a big pot with this hand.. not to mention the amount of times he may trap himself with a hand like 98, 77, 88 etc.. i wouldnt be too concerned with showing strength on this flop.. next time you guys are in a hand and you come out firing on a monotone board like this again he may get sick of it and do the raising for you.

FE,

Yeah, as played I'd definitely make a pot-ish bet here. 2k sounds good.
