Actually, it's -EV, assuming the machine is -EV to begin with. Not that doubling changes the percentage any, but your betting more, so you will lose more.

Doubling is flipping a perfectly weighted coin. There is no house edge. It's 50/50. In the long run, you win as many times as you lose.

As someone said earlier, it just increases variance. So if you doubled every win you had, your wins (that you actually collect) would be twice as big, but half as common.
