[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Apparently if you unplug an iPod using Windows Vista (that safely remove hardware thing) it corrupts the iPod causing it to crash your computer. Recently I had to replace my 4G ipod because every time I connected it, it froze my computer almost immediately. GJ apple. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933824 I tried the stuff on that page but my iPod is still screwed. [/ QUOTE ] Uhh, how is this Apple's fault? [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] because it allows the damage to occur. [/ QUOTE ] Obviously somebody screwed up, but I'd say there's not enough information to say whether it's Apple or Microsoft. |

Re: Ipod USB cable turns my computer off? WTF
I noticed that my 8G nano won't sync anymore. My last sync date was 31 October. The ipod gets charged when connected, but the pc doesn't recognize it.
I checked the help forums at apple, where I counted 5 threads about this problem, none of which was helpful other than to say "Go buy another Ipod." I initialized this ipod in January 07. I use it just about every day, and estimate that it has about 700 hours of use on it. So, has anyone else experienced this situation? Next step is to try this on a different PC. |
