im thinking bout the river check cause i like flop and turn given history/read but now checking lets him showdown something for free. obv you think he's gonna fire again but you're not a fish, he knows that, and you took a fishy line so something isn't adding up to him unless he thinks you're being stubborn with a decent ace he can get you off of with a river shove.

interesting river spot i'd like to hear what people think about checking, betting small like a blocker he might shove over, or just shoving for the psb.

What do people think about putting out some weird little fake block bet on the river? At the time, I didn't like it because I figured he would just call with some hands he would otherwise shove with, and he probably views me as tricky, so a bet like this could be percieved as a fake blocker since he probably assumes I'd never actually make a blocking bet with a hand like AT or w/e, but at the same time if I bet like $100 on the river it might confuse him into shoving with air I suppose. Any thoughts on this?

i think checking has to be better than some fancy fake block.

looks like you have a weak ace and i agree that vs. any aggressive player they're probably just gonna value shove or bluff almost their entire range. nh i should try this some time.
