The Heisman is heavily tied with team success and Hawaii just doesn't have enough.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah that's definately true. Kind of a shame, too.

If he doesn't get invited to the ceremony, it will be a tragedy. Who deserves the Heismann more besides Troy Smith?

Timmy Chang is an awful name. And that's all I have to say about that.

if Hawaii had beat Bama, I would've been in agreement that he is a serious contender.

Not only that, but playing in Hawaii at midnight in a minor conference means that they're never on television, so he really never had a chance.

since I'm a NCAAF junkie, I've sen 4 Hawaii games on my gameplan package. They remind me of pass happy madden teams.

Switch the 2nd word in this title to McCoy and I'm there with you.

27/40 406 yards 4-TDs 1-INT vs (horrible) Louisiana Tech, plus 6 rushes for 60 yards and another TD. This with him sitting out the 4th quarter again.

intersting thought, but I'm still no on this guy going

NCAA pass efficiency defense rankings

look at the teams Hawaii has faced
HINT: they are near the bottom

Alabama is at #41 and Hawaii was held in check that day.

running the run-and-shoot against the #101,#109,#112,#115,#117,#119 rated teams out of 119 isn't exactly tough.

Putting up 75 against the two teams ranked #33 (Nevada) and #47 (Boise) is good though, but one was a loss.

Brennan still put up solid numbers against Bama despite his WRs, OLine, etc surely being outclassed(8 yards/attempt, 68.2% completion rate). He also rocked Nevada and Boise State who are top third Pass Ds as you mentioned.

Sure he played some bad teams and he rightfully crushed them, but he's been stellar vs. good teams too and he could hardly have been expected to do more to win the games against Bama and Boise State. I'm guessing that losing by a combined 15 points is quite a bit better than was expected for Hawaii against those teams.
