How did I come up with 2:1 odds on the turn?

Yeah ... he's getting a bit less than 4:1 on the turn, so I am not protecting too well ...

However, I still see more value in trapping them both for 2BBs on the turn card rather than raising the flop and having them call just 1 bet on the turn, amirite?

If you switch mine and LAG's position, and I am first to act, that would be an auto-donk, obv.

Babar, what are you getting angry about again?

remy, babar is probably angry because you played this hand exactly like a standard fish would play it except the fish bets the river. hehe.

WTF ... u slowplay a set once in a blue moon ...
Hey, at least I did it for different reasons than a fish would.
HouseCalls didn't hate my line that much ...
As far as river goes - I have no clue why I didn't bet it. I wanna blame multitabling misclicks here!

remy, fwiw I slowplayed a set against a guy who was mega tilting the other day and I got berated in which he said he was really good and I was terrible. mission accomplished and yes I understand that your reasons for slowplaying are different to the fish but I was trying to point out that because slowplaying big hands is all rage amongst bad players that when you slowplay them then they can well put you on a slowplayed hand which may freeze em up

btw 'killing kittens' by buzz means he doesnt like your hand.

razzing aside, IMHO its okay to take an alternative line some percentage of the time but most of the time im just betting my sets and because Im betting lots of other hands too..my big hands are well hidden.

There are times when it can be correct to slowplay a set. This clearly isn't one of them. We have a laggy Villain who looks capable of significantly overplaying hands, and a guy behind you whose poker strategy seems to be an elaborate excuse to try to wear out the call button. It's much more likely that Villain cooks off on the flop than if you wait for the turn, where you're likely to freeze up all but his best hands. LP is similarly more likely to call multiple bets drawing nearly dead on the flop. Raise it up my friend.

The river check is a crime against poker. Feel shame.
