Re: 10NL- AA flops set, how to extract?
[ QUOTE ]
Every reason you gave is why you DO NOT check raise..You are trying to extract bets out of these hands..A C/R will blow them off the hand and not give them the chance to lose there stack when there JJ/QQ(for example) turns a set.. What draw can villain have that would raise PF then call a RR??? [/ QUOTE ] jacks or queens don't bet that flop very often. They usually assume you have the ace. And lots of people call preflop reraises really light, I've seen it. The fact you can see 3 of the 4 aces means to me that you should be optimizing your play for his big hands/bluffing hands. The fact villian will catch a set with an underpair 8% of the time on the turn doesn't really convince me that check/call or bet is better. I'm mostly worried about gutshot type hands that he may bet the flop with because he puts you on KK/QQ etc. If villian has a tight calling range for reraises then I agree that check/call may be best. edit: I've been stacked twice with top set to gutshot type draws when I lead the flop in similar hands. This is why I don't like bet lines with top set... |
